Bridges students engage in business enterprises and entrepreneurship on and off campus. Through hands-on experiences, we aim to enhance life skills, promote social integration, and create opportunities for personal growth, while respecting the individuality and abilities of each participant.
Bridges Boutique
Our students run their own retail business! They are involved in all aspects including candle, card, and soap making, as well as jewelry, pottery, and t-shirt making. Come to the Future Ready Complex (5001 Airport Road, Georgetown) to shop at the Bridges Boutique! Cash and credit cards are accepted.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 11:00 am (Follows GISD calendar)
Bridges Brew
Coffee? Tea? Cocoa? Or how about a Bridges Mocha (our specialty drink)? Our student baristas make and serve hot and cold drinks at the Brew during Boutique hours.
Bridges Culinary
Our newest enterprise is the Bridges Culinary Food Prep Program! Through this enterprise, students will have the skills to pursue careers or volunteer opportunities in food service, catering, and hospitality, or gain more independence in the kitchen at home.
Bridges culinary will be offering a monthly delicious, low-cost, luncheon for community members to support our students as the learn real-world skills.
This program is recognized by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation as an approved program.
