GISD Early Learning Center
The Georgetown ISD Early Learning Center provides high-quality care for the children of GISD employees and students during regular school days. The Center's staff includes lead teachers, all with Child Development Associate credentials or higher from the Council for Early Childhood Professional Education, and teacher aides who assist in small group classrooms. Lead teachers develop lesson plans and schedules each week for their classes that help children develop language, thinking, and motor skills.
Philosophy
Our Early Learning Center Center provides a safe and nurturing environment that meets the developmental needs of preschool children. We value the optimum development of each child’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. The program is designed to allow children to learn through play, to explore the environment, to develop problem solving and interpersonal skills, and to be creative through a variety of experiences.
