GISD provides a comprehensive benefits package to employees.
GISD offers a choice of health insurance plans and dental care plans. Additionally, employees may choose vision, life insurance, disability insurance, and other supplemental insurance benefits as well as cafeteria plan payroll deductions. All employees contribute to the Texas Teacher's Retirement System (TRS). They may also contribute to a personal retirement account such as a 403(b) or 457.
New hires have 30 days from the date of their hire to choose their benefits coverage on FFenroll. Regular employees may elect to change their medical and supplemental coverage during the district's annual open enrollment periods each year on FFenroll. If you have a qualifying life event during the plan year you have 31 days to make changes to your benefits by notifying the Benefits Coordinator, Brooke Irwin @ 512-943-5000 ext.6092 or
