Classwize

What is Classwize?

Classwize is the web-based software all GISD teachers can use to monitor what students are doing on their Chromebooks or Windows desktops during class. Classwize can also be used to send web links to students, message them, focus students on specific websites, or to block distracting websites. Reports can be generated by teachers to show a history of what sites a student accessed during their class.

Accessing Classwize

Teachers will access Classwize by logging in to ClassLink and clicking on the Classwize Teacher GISD app icon that looks like the one pictured below.

**NOTE: If you do not see the Classwize Teacher GISD app on your ClassLink dashboard but believe you should have access to it, do not try to add it yourself. Contact the GISD Service Desk and request that the app be added for you.

If you are a teacher of record with a Skyward gradebook, your classes will be automatically rostered for you in Classwize. If you are a specialist that does not have a rostered class in Skyward, such as an interventionist, you can create your own Classwize Local Class to use as needed.

To learn the basic functions of using Classwize, please work through the Classwize in GISD Teacher User Guide below.

NOTE: The resources from Classwize below may refer to a few functions you will not see in Classwize because GISD does not use their companion Linewize internet filter.
