Download Office at Home
In order to help our students and staff prepare for success, Georgetown ISD is providing Office to every student and employee free of charge. With Office 365, students and staff will now have access to the latest version of Word for writing, Excel for spreadsheets, PowerPoint for presentations, OneNote for organization and note taking, and much more!
- Install on up to 5 compatible PCs and Macs, plus 5 tablets (including iPad!)
- Use with OneDrive for automatic device syncing
- Gain valuable skills on the world’s most popular productivity software
- Office subscription lasts for as long as you are a student or an employee at Georgetown ISD and the program continues
Students and staff will need to know their school Office 365 username and password to sign in and download Office.
Be sure you have this information ready before proceeding to the Office installation steps below:
- Office 365 Username
- Students: Student's GISD computer username, followed by @georgetownisd.org
- For example, Ann Smith's username might be SmithA1234@georgetownisd.org
- Staff: Staff member's GISD email address
- Office 365 Password
- For both students and staff, your Office 365 password is the same as your GISD computer password
Follow these simple steps to get Office:
- For PC and Mac:
- In a web browser, go to https://portal.office.com
- Enter your Georgetown ISD Office 365 username (described above)
- If prompted, select Work or school account
- Enter your Georgetown ISD Office 365 password (same as your computer password)
- Click the Sign in button
- On the Office 365 Home screen, click the Install now button to begin installing Office on your PC or Mac at home.
- For iOS and Android:
- Download from your app store
- iPad: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- iPhone
- Android
- Sign in with your Georgetown ISD Office 365 username and password (described above) for full editing capability
