    My Education & Teaching Background

I began my work in education as a special education paraprofessional in 2000 and worked to earn my master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado.  My first teaching position was as a special education math teacher at Estes Park Elementary in 2006.  Since that time, I have taught math and literacy skills to a variety of students at both the elementary and middle school level, with math always being my favorite subject to teach.
This year will be my 7th year as a special education teacher at Tippit, and my 3rd year as coach for the Tippit Titan Dance Team (Synergy).  We have an exciting year of dance activities planned!!!  Please see my "Dance" page for more information.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking, dancing, swimming, playing games and solving puzzles, working out while listening to my favorite tunes, and growing as an educator.  Currently, I am also pursuing a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University Texas; I hope to graduate in 2021!
