Ford Elementary is the ninth elementary school in the Georgetown Independent School District, opening in the fall of 2004. We are proud to be rated for the fourth year as Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency. We serve over 600 students in grades K-5.
Ford students live in neighborhoods in the west side of Georgetown along Williams Drive. New student registration is held in August, and pre-K and Kindergarten Round-up is held in May. If you are enrolling after the start of school, you may make an appointment with the campus registrar.Ford Elementary was named in honor of Dr. Jo Ann Ford, an educator who served as principal of Carver, Pickett and Williams Elementary, and Benold Middle School before her retirement from the district in 2000. She was widely respected for her dedication to children and to the community. Dr. Ford often visited the children at her namesake school before she passed away in 2006.
