My name is Tara Hornecker, and I am excited to be the new AP at Ford Elementary!  I was born and raised in Round Rock and graduated from Round Rock HS.  I went on to play collegiate soccer at McMurry University in Abilene, TX.  While there I got my Bachelor of Arts in Family Communication with a desire to become a counselor.  I went on to get my Master's in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin.  After working in the corporate world for a couple of years, I knew education was my calling, and I completed my alternative certification.  I started my education career teaching Middle School Math in 2013.  I then taught 5th grade Math at Frost Elementary for two years.  I have spent the last 7 years in Round Rock ISD as a teacher, counselor, and for the last three years as the AP at Round Rock Early College High School.  My husband, Mitch, and I have an 18-month-old son named Mack and an 8-year-old German Shepard named Maggie.  I have a passion to help all students grow and learn and am so excited to be back in elementary school.  I can't wait to meet all the wonderful families of Ford Elementary.
