    My Education & Training

I received a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and I completed my teaching certification work at LeTourneau University

    Teaching Experience

This year will be my 17th with Georgetown ISD and my 8th at Richarte!  For my first 9 years at GISD, I was at Tippit Middle School where I introduced wonderful 6th graders to World Cultures and Geography.  Before becoming a teacher, I worked in the corporate world with State Farm Insurance for 22 years.

    About Me

I am a native of northeast Louisiana where I grew up riding horses and camping in covered wagons.  Before moving to Texas, I lived in Lafayette, Louisiana where the alligators grow big, the Cajun food is wonderful, and Mardi Gras is a way of life.  We love to travel and learn about how people live in other wonderful places on earth.

Away from school I share my life with my husband Ron and daughters Erin and Anna.  Our daughters are grown and live elsewhere, so the only little feet running around our house belong to our family cats Jasmine, Jezebel, and Buddy.

I love historic research and serve on the board of Preservation Georgetown.  I also foster kittens for the Georgetown Animal Shelter, much to my husband's dismay.

    Class/Course Information

My class subjects this semester are Dollars & Sense and Business Information Management (BIM).  In addition, I assist students who are taking dual-credit classes through Austin Community College.  I also coordinate local scholarship applications, as well as SAT and ACT registration, and I do College and Career counseling.

My classes are all mixed this semester, since my students are all online.  You can usually reach me by email between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
