    Forbes Boys Athletics is proud to develop young men into great competitors and future leaders. We hope that every athlete who comes through our program learns mental and physical toughness, the fundamentals of sports and competition, and the work ethic to be successful in life. New for GISD middle schools starting this year will be an offseason athletic period to start the school year. This means that all students who wish to play any sport throughout the year must be in athletics starting in August (except for new students who move in during the school year). This offseason group will merge into a single class with the athletes coming from football when that season ends. Students who choose PE instead of athletics will not be eligible to participate in any sports offered at Forbes. Football is the only sport without tryouts: every other sport will have cuts, tryouts, or qualifiers for participation in games, meets, or tournaments. Being in athletics does not assure you of a spot on any team, with football as the only exception.

  • Here is the link for your athletic workout uniform for this upcoming year. All athletes must purchase a uniform and dress out everyday for class. More than one uniform may be purchased.

  • The following documentation must be on file on RankOneSport.com to be cleared for the 2023-2024 school year. All students playing any sport during the 2023-2024 school year must be in the athletic period for the entire year. All the following must be completed by the first week of school or the student will be removed from athletics and not eligible to participate in any sport for the entire school year. 

    1. Physical dated after May 1st, 2023 submitted to ghstrainers@georgetownisd.org
    2. Please be sure to include student campus, grade, and ID# to make sure it is properly processed.

    4. Catastrophic Insurance Payment is $8.00 for all athletes.
    5. Sign up for SportsYou App. Email Coach Gammage for code.
    6. Uniform purchased from coaches ($30), cleats,  5-pad girdle for 8th graders ONLY (purchase from any sporting goods outlet).

    Fees for Athletics

    $30 for athletic clothes. 7th graders must purchase, 8th graders only need to purchase if their uniform from last year needs to be replaced or you want another set. Tennis has a separate uniform with a link on the Tennis homepage.
