Hi! My name is Sandy Kinn-Burks and I teach 8th Grade Science and 8th Grade Pre-AP science. I have been teaching at Forbes since the school opened: this year will be my 19th year here. Prior to teaching at Forbes, I taught at Round Rock High School.
I graduated from UT Austin with a degree in Geology and a minor in Biology. I met my husband Dean while attending UT. I enjoy living in Georgetown. Both of my girls, Crystal and Coral, attended GISD schools and graduated from Georgetown High School.
When I am not teaching, planning, or grading, I have several different activities that I enjoy doing. I enjoy hiking, walking, swimming, attending OrangeTheory Fitness classes, doing a variety of crafts, collecting rocks and fossils, and spending time with my three granddaughters. My favorite places to vacation are beaches and mountains.
