Grandfathering

Parents of students rezoned for the 2024-2025 school year who are currently in 4th, 6th or 7th grade may complete a transfer application for your student to remain at their current campus.  The window for a transfer application for 4th/6th/7th grade rezoning is February 11th-March 1st.  Please note that this application will not be considered complete without a current proof of residency document for the family.

Parents may also complete a transfer application for siblings to remain at the same campus for one year.  A separate transfer application is required for each sibling. Sibling transfer requests will only be approved if space is available.

Please note that GISD does not provide transportation for transfer students.
