December 2024 STAAR EOC Scores Available
STAAR EOC scores for students who tested in December 2024 are available on the Texas Assessment website and in Skyward. Instructions for accessing your student's scores can be found at https://www.georgetownisd.org/parents/skyward-family-student-access/skyward-family-student-access/test-scores-staar-family-portal-access.
If you are unable to access your student's scores through Skyward or the Texas Assessment website, please reach out to your student's campus.
Credit by Exam
Credit by Exam is offered by Georgetown ISD for enrolled students in grades Kindergarten-12. GISD offers exams free of charge to students. The purpose of CBE testing is for acceleration (students wishing to test out of a grade or course without having prior instruction), verification (verifying credit from homeschool or non-accredited private/public school), or recovery of credit for a course in which the student has had prior instruction.

GHS Theater Presents: Sweeney Todd the Musical (School Edition) Jan. 31 - Feb. 2
GHS Theater will hold performances of Sweeney Todd the Musical (School Edition) from January 31 to February 2 at the Klett PAC. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7pm and Sunday’s will begin at 2pm.

East View Theater Presents: Bright Star Jan. 31 - Feb. 1
East View Theater will hold performances of Bright Star from January 30 to February 1. All shows will be at the East View Theater at 7pm. Purchase your tickets here.
East View Spring Blood Drive on Feb. 19
East View will hold its annual Spring Blood Drive on February 19 from 9am-3pm in the East View library. Come lend a helping arm, donate blood to support your community and save local lives. Please sign up using the QR code on the event flyer.
*Participants must be 17 yrs old and at least 115 lbs to donate.

From H-E-B: H-E-B and the University Interscholastic League Team up to Present Scholarship Program for Community Service Excellence - Deadline to apply is Jan. 31
For the seventh consecutive year, H-E-B will award 15 high school seniors who participate in UIL competitions with a $2,000 scholarship in recognition of their community service and involvement in their communities.
Five students who compete in athletics, five students who compete in music, and five more students who compete in academic events will be selected from the pool of applicants from across the state.
H-E-B will award each selected student with a $2,000 scholarship toward their college/university of choice. Recipients will be spotlighted during the 2025 UIL Texas Girls & Boys Basketball State Championships. Learn more and apply online at https://www.sportsinaction.com/scholarship/.
From Southwestern University: Visualizing the Abstract: Brown Symposium March 4-6
This symposium features speakers who work with a variety of visual media and ideas to make the intangible more tangible for themselves and for others through storytelling, metaphor, and craft. From metal, wood, and crochet to filmmaking, animation, and imagining worlds, the speakers seek to demystify the abstract to promote greater awareness, understanding and connection.
