Join us in our Safety Efforts: Learn about Stay Safe! Reporting
Safety is a shared responsibility, and in Georgetown ISD, we support a culture of “See Something, Say Something.” One way we support this culture is through the use of the district’s Stay Safe! platform, an online tool for reporting. Through the online platform, GISD students, parents and community members can notify school officials of incidents or actions that may pose danger to individuals or the school. Dialogues may even be submitted anonymously, and there are multiple ways to access the platform on our district and campus websites. The easiest and fastest link is located in the footer of every district website.

Nominations Being Accepted for Lead, Grow, Serve Award
The Lead Grow Serve Award highlights individuals who make significant contributions to our GISD community and embody
the values we cherish. This award recognizes and celebrates recipients who exemplify a commitment to leadership, to growth and/or to service in Georgetown ISD. Consideration will be given to the following criteria:
-
Direct impact on Georgetown ISD
-
Duration of impact
-
Number of individuals impacted
-
Alignment to the district’s mission of “lead, grow, serve”
Award recipients will be selected by a committee that reviews Lead, Grow, Serve Award nominations monthly. Nominees must be a GISD student, staff member (any position) or parent, team of staff members, or a Georgetown community member or community organization who partners with the district.
If you know someone deserving of this recognition, we invite you to learn more and submit a nomination online at www.georgetownisd.org/community/awards-recognition-hub/lead-grow-serve-award
Are your student meal balances adding up?
Families must qualify each year for free and reduced lunch benefits. If you qualified in the past and did not fill out a new application, you may see that your child’s meal balances are adding up. We encourage all families to complete the application. When you qualify, your family receives more benefits than just free or reduced meal prices for your child. Campuses may be eligible for additional funding.
To learn more about the program and access the application, visit www.georgetownisd.org/lunchapplication.
