There will also be a family meal, fun kids activities, a parenting presentation, and community resources. View the event flyer on our website for more details. No RSVP is required.
Fall Climate Surveys
Fall climate survey information, including links to participate, were emailed to parents and staff on Friday, November 8. We encourage every parent and staff member in GISD to respond and share your experience in GISD since the start of the school year.
Information is collected anonymously and used to inform our work including campus improvement plans and the district’s strategic direction.
Surveys will remain open through November 22.
Accessing Your PSAT Scores
Recently, many students in Georgetown ISD participated in the PSAT at their respective campuses. The PSAT serves as an important practice tool for the SAT, a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the US. Students in 11th grade who took the PSAT/NMSQT may also qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program, based on their scores.
Students in 8th grade who took the PSAT 8/9 will receive a paper copy of their score report from their campus by November 22, 2024.
Students in 9th grade who took the PSAT 8/9 will receive a paper copy of their score report from their Counselor when they meet to discuss their graduation plan.
Students in 10th and 11th grade who took the PSAT/NMSQT can access their scores through the BigFuture School mobile app if they provided their phone number on test day. Students can also view their scores online through their personal College Board student account.
Any student wishing to obtain a paper copy of their score report may request one from their counselor.
We encourage you to review these reports with your child to better understand their performance and next steps in their academic journey.

From Our Partners:
From the Georgetown Police Department: Blue Santa Applications Accepted through Dec. 9
A program of the Georgetown Police Department, Blue Santa provides toys to more than 2,200 children in Georgetown during its annual toy drive and distribution.
Each year, the Georgetown Police Department, department volunteers, citizen volunteers/volunteer groups, and businesses all work together and join forces to hold special events or set up donation barrels to collect toys or monetary donations. Toys are sorted into age-appropriate categories by the Blue Santa Workshop Elves and special Christmas boxes are filled for families who apply for assistance.
Blue Santa also donates toys anytime residents have lost their belongings in fires or natural disasters. Blue Santa is not just for Christmas, although that is the main focus of the program. Monetary donations and new, unwrapped toys are welcome any time.
Qualified families who live within the city limits may apply for benefits: https://georgetowntexas.gov/public_safety/police/events/blue_santa/apply_for_assistance.php
