December 2024 STAAR EOC Scores Available
STAAR EOC scores for students who tested in December 2024 are available on the Texas Assessment website and in Skyward. Instructions for accessing your student's scores can be found at https://www.georgetownisd.org/parents/skyward-family-student-access/skyward-family-student-access/test-scores-staar-family-portal-access.
If you are unable to access your student's scores through Skyward or the Texas Assessment website, please reach out to your student's campus.
East View Spring Blood Drive on Feb. 19
East View will hold its annual Spring Blood Drive on February 19 from 9am-3pm in the East View library. Come lend a helping arm, donate blood to support your community and save local lives. Please sign up using the QR code on the event flyer.
*Participants must be 17 yrs old and at least 115 lbs to donate.

Georgetown FFA Annual Spring Pet Vaccination Clinic Feb. 25
Have your pets received their vaccinations this year? Georgetown FFA has an opportunity for you! The Annual Spring Pet Vaccination Clinic that is partnered with Dr. John Tarlton is Tuesday, February 25 from 5-7pm in the GHS Ag Shop. No appointment needed. From the GCCMA: Black History Month
GCCMA will host events during Black History Month for the Georgetown community, including a Black History Month Banquet on February 15 and a Museum Tour on February 22.

From the GCCMA: Share your Historic Photos during Scan Days Feb. 8 & 22
Help the GCCMA build a digital archive and collection to document the history of African American and Hispanic Georgetown residents. Bring your photographs, letters, small objects, & printed materials to have them scanned. Staff from the Southwestern University Distinctive Collections, Georgetown Public Library, and the Williamson Museum will be on hand to scan the items and return them that day.
Items scanned will be used for a digital archive and potential physical displays at the Carver Center for Families.

From the Texas School Safety Center: Safe Schools Art Contest
The Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) is pleased to announce this year’s school safety contest for youth – Art in Action: Imagining Safe Schools for All. The contest invites middle school and high school students to submit original artwork that highlights their perspectives of safety in school.
Contest Prompts:
- - What is the biggest problem you and/or your peers experience at school?
- - What does a safe school look like to you?
- - What does your safe place from stress and worries look like?
The top entries from each prompt will be selected to be featured as part of an art exhibit at the 2025 Texas School Safety Conference in June. Contest deadline is May 25, 2025. For more information, check out the flyer or visit https://txssc.txstate.edu/events/tss-conf/.
