David Hunt - Assistant Principal (M-Z)
David Hunt is an Assistant Principal at Wagner Middle School. Mr. Hunt has spent eight years in Texas public education, with six of those years in Georgetown ISD. His service to students includes teaching various levels of World History, U.S. History, World Geography, Economics and Government -- including AP Macroeconomics and AP U.S. Government and Politics. After leaving the classroom, Mr. Hunt served the district and teachers teachers in the role of Digital Learning Coach and Assistant Principal.
Mr. Hunt has a Bachelors of Arts degree in History from Texas State University and a Masters of Education degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Hunt is excited about the opportunity for Wagner Middle School to continue to be a trailblazer in Texas’ public education system as it demonstrates how positive relationships and authentic engagement can ignite a love for learning in students. As a native of Georgetown, Texas and a product of Georgetown ISD, David has a vested interest in the success of Wagner students and will work hard to support and advocate for the whole student and their preparation for the future.
Mr. Hunt enjoys spending time with his wife, Olivia, and their two daughters, as well as riding bicycles and listening to live music.
