I'm Ms. Hughes.  This is my 10th year with Tippit.  I'm originally from Michigan, where I go every summer.  My family moved to Houston when I was 1 year old and grew up there.  My mom still lives in the home I grew up in.  I went to the University of Texas at Austin to get a degree in Math with my teaching certificate.   After I graduated I got my first teaching job at Richarte HS here in Georgetown for 3 years.  Then took time off from teaching to have a family.  Once my kids grew I started back at teaching.  I have two adult children at home.
