6th grade PLP Teacher and No Place for Hate Campus Coordinator
6th grade PLP:
PLP is a project-based class designed to emphasize learner-specific goals and objectives, as well as preferences. The class emphasizes a literacy rich Humanities and STEM approach to instruction in an effort for the learner to elect their own path of learning while demonstrating mastery of content through alternative forms of assessment. Students will be encouraged to design their own learning path while managing their individual academic goals.
My Education & Background
I am a proud graduate of the University of Texas! Hook'em Horns! I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications with emphasis in Journalism. I completed my Teaching Certification through Region 13. This will be 11th year teaching at Tippit!
Reading and Writing are two of my most favorite things, and I love sharing this passion with my students. I also enjoy hiking, traveling, watching football, camping, crafting, and spending time with my family and friends.
No Place for Hate Campus Coordinator
Georgetown ISD is a No Place for Hate school district. No Place for Hate helps to create and sustain inclusive school environments where all students feel valued and have the opportunity to succeed by promoting respect for individual difference. No Place for Hate also challenges bigotry and prejudice.
