The Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees approved a $148,865,902 budget for the 2017-18 year at their regular board meeting on Monday night. The budget is made up of three different parts: the general fund totals $113,123,712, the Food Service Fund totals $5,750,343 and the Debt Service Fund totals $29,991,847.
The board has approved the new 2017-18 Compensation Plan, including pay grades and stipend schedules.
A two percent midpoint salary increase for all GISD employees was also approved.
GISD Chief Financial Officer, Steve West, will be retiring from the district at the end of this month. The trustees announced Pam Sanchez as his replacement at the regular board meeting. Sanchez currently serves as the Executive Director of Business Services for the district and has been with GISD for 9 years in August.
