The Georgetown Independent School District Board of Trustees named Justin Del Bosque as the new principal for Forbes Middle School during its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, April 17.
Del Bosque has served as assistant principal at the campus since 2016, where he also serves as campus testing coordinator, administrator for English Language Learners, and science and math learning. Throughout his career, he has served three years as a science teacher and coach and seven years in administration including curriculum coordinator, athletic director, and principal.
“Justin has done an outstanding job serving the Forbes community over the past two years,” Bryan Hallmark, Assistant Superintendent for Operations and School Leadership, said. “We are excited about the future of Forbes Middle School under his leadership as campus principal.”
As principal, Del Bosque will direct and manage all campus operations and lead campus instructional programs to ensure high standards of instruction and student achievement.
Del Bosque will transition to his new role as principal on June 1.
Mr. Del Bosque holds a bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University and a master’s degree from Texas State University. He resides in Georgetown with his wife, Kara, a teacher in GISD, and their four children: Kendall, Skylar, Kase, and Mason.
