  • Car Lane / Bus Lane

Car Lane: For parents dropping off their students in the car lane, we ask that you pull up to the first cone along the car lane. Staff is available every morning and afternoon in order to help your child safely exit and enter your vehicle. For the safety of all students, vehicles should not drop students from the parking lot. If parents prefer to park and walk your child in, please be sure to use our crosswalks. Mitchell has another entrance at the back of the school for buses. This driveway is for staff and buses only. School staff assist in supervising bus arrivals in the morning and bus dismissals in the afternoon. Any questions regarding bus routes or student bus tags, please contact the transportation department at 512-943-5126. Thanks for your assistance in keeping our students safe during arrival and departure.

  • Transportation Changes

Mitchell staff recognizes that parents' schedules change hourly. As a result your child may be going home a different way. To assure that students get home as planned, we ask that either a note be sent to the teacher or call the front office before 2:00 for changes. Transportation changes are documented in the front office and teachers are then notified. Our policy regarding field trips is that students are to depart and return to campus on the school bus. These procedures ensure the safety and security of all students. We appreciate your support.
