January is School Board Recognition Month, and Georgetown ISD is celebrating its trustees for their dedication and commitment to the district and its students.Throughout the month, campuses and departments will recognize the board through various events.

Parents, Join us Jan. 9 for a presentation on substance abuse and how it might be affecting your teen

This event will take place in the boardroom at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership & Learning from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and is being hosted in partnership with the PTA council. Learn more about the program on our website.

Parent Learning Community Event Jan. 12

Join us on January 12th for a Parent Learning Community event! Sessions begin at 6 PM and will cover: 

  • TELPAS - What is it? How does it measure growth?

  • Course Selection Guide - Review how to Navigate & Create a Graduation Plan

  • Accommodations - Learn about Student Support

  • EOC/IGC Oh my! What assessments are required for graduation?

  • STAAR Redesign - New formats & features

Limited child care and the Food & Resource room will be available at 5:30 PM.

From The Georgetown Project (TGP): Free Language Classes

TGP's Bridges to Growth Program is offering free language classes starting next week to help adults in our community learn English as a Second Language (ESL) or for non-Spanish speakers to learn Spanish.  Evening classes are free and are being offered on Zoom.
