GHS Show Choir Presents: A Holiday to Remember Dec. 1-3
The Georgetown High School Show Choir will present their annual production of A Holiday to Remember at The Klett Center for the Performing Arts. The show will run Dec. 1-3, beginning at 7 PM each evening.
Join the GHS show choir as they countdown to Christmas in this special holiday production!
Tickets are $5/students and $10/adults and are available for purchase online or at the door.
EVHS Choir Presents: A Jolly Holiday Dec. 9-11
The East View High School Choir will put on their annual performance of A Jolly Holiday at the East View Theatre Dec. 9-11. Showtimes are as follows:
Friday, Dec. 9: 7pm
Saturday, Dec. 10: 3pm, 7pm
Sunday, Dec. 11: 3pm
Jump into the holiday spirit with this special performance!

Annual Gifted & Talented Window Open Through Dec. 7
Our annual window for Gifted & Talented referral is open through Dec. 7, 2022. To find out what it means for a child to be considered Gifted & Talented, please check our website for articles, videos, and lists that can help you make an informed choice before you decide to refer a child to be assessed for Gifted & Talented.
If you would like to refer a child in grades K-11, please
1. Read the referral packet (English / Spanish), and
2. Either submit the paper form in the referral packet to the student's campus or complete the eReferral form (Grades K-5 use this eform) (Grades 6-11 use this eform)
Special Programs Parent Learning Community Dec. 8: Our Gift to You!
Join GISD Special Programs for the December Parent Learning Community! The event will take place on December 8 at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
Join us for some holiday fun! Decorate sugar cookies, take photos with Santa, make a pinata and more!
You will also have a chance to shop at the Bridges Boutique, enjoy hot cocoa, and sing karaoke!

From the Georgetown Police Department: Applications for Blue Santa
Blue Santa (for families living inside Georgetown city limits):
Families living inside the Georgetown city limits who need assistance providing holiday/Christmas toys, books, games and other items for their children (ages 0-17) may apply for assistance from Georgetown Police Department’s Blue Santa Program.
Applications are being accepted now through Dec. 12. Toy pickup will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 at 3500 DB Wood Rd., Georgetown.
An application is available online. Click here to apply. Paper copies are available to pick up at your child's campus for families unable to complete it online.

Car Show Dec. 3 Benefits GISD Automotive programs + Blue Santa
Stephanie Nichols’ Christmas Toy Drive Cruise-In comes to East View High School on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1:30 - 4 pm. Proceeds from the event benefit automotive education programs in Georgetown ISD. Guests are asked to consider bringing an unwrapped toy donation for the Georgetown Police Department’s Blue Santa program.
From The Rotary Club of Sun City - Breakfast with Santa Returns to San Gabriel Park Dec. 17
The 22nd annual Breakfast with Santa event, hosted by The Rotary Club of Sun City, is returning to the Community Center in San Gabriel Park on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Georgetown firefighters will be making pancakes and sausage served with juice and coffee. The event runs from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
At the event, children can visit with firefighters and have a free picture taken with Santa.
Tickets are $6 per person and can be purchased at the door on the day of the event or in advance from any club member or at the Public Safety Operations and Training Center, 3500 D.B. Wood Road. Children aged 12 and younger are free with a paid adult.
Breakfast with Santa is sponsored by The Rotary Club - Sun City in partnership with the Georgetown Fire Department and Georgetown ISD.
Proceeds from the event support students in Georgetown ISD.
From Georgetown Parks and Recreation: Hype for the Holidays Teen Party Dec. 16
Georgetown Parks and Recreation hosts its annual Hype for the Holidays Teen Party for teenagers ages 12-15 on Friday, Dec. 16 at the Georgetown Recreation Center, 1003 N. Austin Ave.
The party is from 1:15-4:30 p.m. and will include pizza, drinks, snacks, video games, a basketball shootout, music, door prizes, and more.
The event is free for recreation center members or $5 for nonmembers.
