From the City of Georgetown: Important Winter Storm Impacts and Updates

See a full list of updates, resources, and information about the City's response and services here (https://bit.ly/GTXwinterweather).

Williamson County is under a disaster declaration due to the winter storm. If you live in Williamson County and experience any damage from this weather, you can report it at damage.tdem.texas.gov

City facilities and some services will remain closed on Feb. 2.. Please continue to avoid driving if possible: Roads remain hazardous due to fallen tree limbs and ice on bridges and overpasses. If you are involved in an accident, please remain in the vehicle with your seatbelt fastened until first responders arrive. Georgetown public works crews are removing slush and ice from roads and bridges to make them safer for emergency vehicles.

Georgetown electric customers may  be experiencing power outages caused by ice accumulation and downed powerlines. Our crews are working diligently to restore power as quickly and safely as possible to Georgetown customers. Check the outage map here (https://gus.georgetown.org/outages). If you notice an error on the map (i.e. it's saying your power is restored but it isn't), please call 512-930-3640, then press 1, b and go through the prompts to indicate your power has NOT been restored. The system will recognize your phone number if it is associated with your utility account, and it will tell us there's still a problem.

Texas Disposal Systems' solid waste collections are delayed. Please leave carts out; they will be collected by Sunday. The City is working on curbside limb pickup, more to come in the next few days. Please report trees in or touching the road to customercare@georgetown.org, and do not stand under trees that are covered in ice.

From the City of Georgetown: Scheduled curbside bulky-waste pickup date changing on Feb. 6
