Jeanna Sniffin Named Principal for New Williams Elementary School
The Georgetown ISD board of trustees approved Jeanna Sniffin as the new principal for Everette L. Williams Elementary School that will open in August.
Sniffin currently serves as the principal at Ronald Thornton Middle School in Fort Bend ISD, south of Houston. She has served as principal there since opening the campus in 2017.
“Opening a new campus is a unique challenge,” said Superintendent Fred Brent. “Jeanna brings leadership and experience in opening a new campus that will help ensure a smooth transition. It’s an exciting opportunity for her to grow with us.”

Additionally, she has experience implementing community-based accountability measures in her former district and will provide valuable insight into the development of a community-based accountability system in Georgetown.
Sniffin will be responsible for all aspects of opening the new Williams campus this fall, including hiring staff and aligning work with the district’s mission of inspiring and empowering every learner to lead, grow and serve.
Sniffin has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Stephen F. Austin State University, a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Houston- Victoria. She completed the Entrepreneurial Program - Business Fellowship for School Leaders from Rice University and participated in the Harvard Principal Institute.
Jeanna is looking forward to moving to central Texas with her husband, Brett Sniffin, who was recently named head football coach at Belton High School. They have two sons. Joe is 16 and will be finishing his junior year at Belton High School. Jake is a freshman at Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa. He plays football and is studying secondary math education.
Sniffin will start in her new role on February 17.
