GISD Announces Principals for Frost, Village Elementary Schools

The Georgetown Independent School District named Tamra Marbibi principal of Frost Elementary School and Rebecca Lambert principal of Village Elementary School during its board meeting on Monday, May 18.

Tamra Marbibi currently serves as assistant principal at McCoy Elementary School in GISD. Marbibi has served in GISD for 16 years as both teacher and administrator. During that time, she served on the community forums responsible for the development of the district’s mission, vision, beliefs and learning profile. 

She received a Master’s of Education from Concordia University Texas and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. A member of the Georgetown community for more than 20 years, she has two daughters who currently attend GISD schools.

Rebecca Lambert currently serves as assistant principal of Village Elementary School. Prior to that, she served as assistant principal at East View High School. She has 11 total years of education experience, including as a bilingual teacher at Mitchell Elementary in GISD and as a Spanish teacher at EVHS. 

Lambert earned a Masters of Education from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Arts from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She has been a member of the Georgetown community since 2009, along with her husband, Jesse, and her two sons, Asher and Gideon, who will attend Village Elementary School this fall.

In their new roles, Marbibi and Lambert will be responsible for establishing, supporting and modeling campus cultures aligned to the GISD strategic framework, ensuring that all systems and processes support the core work of providing engaging educational experiences for GISD students.
