Daily Lunch Menus: A Note from Food Service
Child Nutrition Services is committed, first and foremost, to providing our students with a healthy and nutritious meal in all our cafeterias across the district. We are excited to see new faces each and every day eating in our cafeteria, and we are experiencing a massive increase in the number of students dining with us daily. Working with our vendors, our main focus is on our students' dining experience. We continually strive to meet the highest standard of food quality, presentation and taste.
Although we all are having to navigate the continuous changing environment of Covid-19, we have experienced supply chain shortages like never before. For these reasons, our menus are constantly being modified, and daily items changed, to meet with these shortages. While we have to make these changes to our daily menus, we want to assure you that we remain committed to providing our students with a healthy, nutritious and federally compliant meal. We have provided numerous ways to find our daily menus, through a paper copy, our Nutrislice app, and the GISD website. However, we are asking for your continued patience, as now more than ever, our menus are “subject to change.”
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve the students of GISD and provide them with a nutritionally balanced meal, which is an important part of their learning experience each and every day.
Georgetown ISD Voters Approve Bond Propositions Totaling $350 Million
Georgetown ISD voters approved two propositions on Election Day that will address future growth, academic programs and technology in the district. The $350 million bond is the largest in the district’s history. You can read more about the projects and the proposed timeline on our website.
