GISD administration moves to Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning

After undergoing extensive renovations for more than a year, Georgetown ISD administrative offices are moving to their new home at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership and Learning (HLCC), formerly known as Williams Elementary, located at 507 E. University Ave.

GISD personnel are transitioning to the new space during the week of December 10-14. The HLCC will officially open to the public at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 17.

The renovations to the HLCC have transformed the iconic campus into a modern collaborative learning space that will house nearly 100 district employees and serve as the center for professional development.

In January, the district’s Information Technology and Nutrition Services departments, currently housed at the administrative annex facility (previously named McCoy Elementary), will move into the old administrative building located at 603 Lakeway.

Renovations to the HLCC were funded through the 2015 bond.  The building served as the original Georgetown High School in 1924.
