A+ Federal Credit Union Pays Off School Lunch Balances at Mitchell Elementary School
In honor of A+ Federal Credit Union’s 70th Anniversary, the credit union has launched A+ Gives, a year-long program designed to give back to the communities that have helped A+FCU grow over the past seven decades.
One of their first acts of giving back is to pay off overdue lunch balances at schools they partner within the districts they serve. Each local branch selected a school with which they partner closely.
The local Georgetown branch selected Mitchell Elementary. At the GISD Board Meeting on March 19, Branch Manager Lisa Brady and Member Services Officer Tracy Mikulencak presented a check to Mitchell Principal Meredith Gandy and GISD Director of Nutrition Services, Tray Mitchell, with a check for $1,443.66 to pay off account balances.
"This is an incredible gift for Mitchell families," said Gandy.
