Volunteers can now register in the district's new system
GISD has launched a new Mentor/Volunteer/Partner System (MVPS) to help recruit, manage and track volunteers across the district. Using MVPS, GISD will have a simple online registration process where volunteers choose their schools and interests (mentoring, tutoring, etc.).
All GISD volunteers must sign up through this new system before they can begin volunteering in GISD. Anyone wishing to volunteer must be approved and pass a background check. Approved volunteers may still be asked to show an ID to gain entry to the school.
Take the first step by registering as a volunteer at www.georgetownisd.org/volunteer. New and returning mentors should also register as a volunteer. (Please note: If you previously registered using FastTrack, that login information will not work in this new system.)
