Early voting is happening now through October 29 at three locations in Georgetown

Dyslexia Parent Night & Instructional Resources for Reading & Math
Dyslexia Parent Night will be presented by GISD Dyslexia Teachers & GISD Dyslexia Coordinator, Sheri Ogden on Thursday, November 4 at 6:30 pm at the Hammerlun Center for Leadership & Learning (Building 2).
The topics that will be covered include:
Dyslexia 101
A Dyslexia Simulator – a brief glimpse into the struggles with Dyslexia
Snap & Read / Co-Writer tools for our students with Dyslexia
Instructional resources for reading and math will be presented by GISD special education teachers and support staff. The topics that will be covered include:
Resource 101
Resource reading and how to assist your student
Resource math and how to assist your student
After School Action Program/ Federal & Special Programs
It is time to sign up for the second session of our GISD Middle School After School programs! Classes starting this session are Advanced Cooking, Babysitters Certification, "Wired” (Engineering), Gardening, Homework Help, Art, Games and more!

View NWEA MAP BOY Progress Reports in Skyward
Parents of students in grades K-8 can now find the Beginning of Year (BOY) NWEA MAP progress report in the student portfolio section of Skyward Family Access.
Please email Lindsay Cooper at cooperl@georgetownisd.org for help accessing score reports. Please contact your student’s subject level teacher for questions regarding the report data and student progress.
Financial Aid, College Application, and Scholarship Workshop
Need help exploring financial aid options for postsecondary plans? Want help completing your application for college? Seniors and parents of seniors will receive one-on-one help with FAFSA/TASFA completion, college applications, and scholarship applications on October 23 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at East View High School.
In order to meet the needs of all participants, please register for this event.
East View Theatre Upcoming Performances: Noises Off
The theatre students of East View High School have been working tirelessly to present to you their newest production “Noises Off”.

Georgetown High School Theatre Upcoming Performances: Chicago
Georgetown High School theatre will be performing Chicago this fall. You can enjoy this play set in the roaring 20s that tells the story of two rival murderesses locked up in Cook County Jail.
