Student Art Exhibit Runs March 28 - April 6 at Georgetown Public Library
Every year since 2008, the Georgetown Public Library has partnered with the Georgetown Independent School District to offer an annual art exhibit. Last year’s exhibit of student artwork was virtual only, but this year's live exhibit features hundreds of selections of student artwork from the district's 18 campuses.
This exhibit celebrates the creativity of student art and demonstrates the robust art programs in all GISD schools. Students in GISD explore and refine their skills in a wide variety of media and techniques including photography, ceramics, painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and textiles.
The exhibit opens March 28 and will remain up through April 6.
Visit with the Artists during an Artist Reception on Wednesday, March 29 5 - 7 pm.
Location: First Floor Lobby and Cafe Gallery; Second Floor Bridge and Hall Galleries

GISD Student Learner Profile Survey - Deadline to Opt Out March 31
In an effort to better support our students as they develop their Learner Profile traits, GISD conducts an annual student survey. This brief survey is provided to students in grades 3-11 and asks students to reflect on themselves and their experiences which align to our GISD Learner Profile. Parents/guardians may preview the survey on the GISD Feedback and Assessment site and opt their student(s) out of taking the survey if they choose to do so.
The deadline to opt students out of the survey is March 31 and campuses will begin to administer the survey during the month of April.
