Join us for a Spring Bus Tour - This Saturday, April 13

GISD has one more bus tour scheduled this spring, designed to invite community members to see where the district is growing and how we're accommodating for that growth.

Guests on the tour will visit both new and old campuses, see where future schools could be constructed, and learn more about programs, enrollment and the future of GISD.

Tour Date and Time:

April 13, 9-11 am

Please note that the tour will be capped at 30 people. Registration is required for each guest. 

Snacks will be provided and the tour will include several stops for campus visits and restroom breaks. 

Georgetown Music & Arts Festival this Saturday - free admission for GISD families and staff

The 2024 Georgetown Music & Arts Festival will take place this Saturday on the campus lawn of East View HS. Get set for 10 straight hours of CMA, Grammy Award, and Billboard #1 artists performing live, plus dozens of artists and crafters, a farmers fresh market, and a gourmet food and beverage garden.

Join us April 17 to Learn more about what’s proposed in the 2024 GISD Bond 

The Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees approved an order calling for a $649,510,000 bond election to be held on May 4. The bond addresses district growth, aging facilities, technology, fine arts and athletics. The proposed projects will be presented to voters in four separate propositions on the ballot in compliance with state law.

GISD Kinder Dual Language Parent Info Sessions - Join us Tonight

The GISD dual language team will host parent information sessions for parents of incoming Kinder students who are interested in applying to participate in the Spanish dual language program. There will be a virtual session on May 7 from 9-10 am. One more in-person session will also be held tonight from 6-7 pm at Hammerlun, 507 E. University Ave.

GISD Library Summer Maker Camp June 17-20 - Enroll now

GISD Librarians and Digital Learning Coaches will host a maker camp June 17-20 for students who will be in 3-5 grade for the 2024-25 school year. Camp will run from 9-11:30 am every day at Wolf Ranch Elementary. The cost of the camp is $150 and all proceeds will benefit libraries across GISD.

Friday, April 26 is a school holiday, and students can spend the day serving your community and earning service hours. As a community, TGP and the Carver Center will be celebrating a day of service at the Carver Center for Families from 9 am - 12 pm. Every youth will have the opportunity to earn 3 hours of community service!

The Autism Society of Texas is hosting its 16th Annual Walk for Autism on Sunday, April 28 at Dreamland in Dripping Springs. They are offering a 50% discount on in-person and virtual registrations for teachers and families within Region 13 who would like to participate.

From the Georgetown Project: Smart Beginnings Family Fair

Join the Georgetown Project Smart Beginnings Alliance for the Smart Beginnings Family Fair -- a day of family fun, food, activities, and resources for families with kids aged 0-5! FREE! 

When: Saturday, May 4, 10am-1pm

From the Georgetown Palace: Summer Camps at the Palace Theatre

From June 3 - August 11, incoming 1st - 12th graders can experience the rush of rehearsing and performing a fully produced show – on stage with costumes, props, sets, lights, and sound – in just TWO WEEKS! No previous experience is needed – everyone gets a part! There are FIVE sessions to choose from over the summer, with different shows for separate age groups each session, all led by performing arts professionals. Camps run Monday through Friday from 9am – 4pm. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available for small fees.
