GEORGETOWN, TEXAS – The East View High School Patriot Football Team will have new leadership this fall following an announcement tonight that Jerod Fikac has accepted the role of head football coach and campus coordinator.
Fikac comes to Georgetown from San Saba High School where he led the football team to a 14-1 record and an appearance in the State Semi-Finals, the first in the school’s history.
He was recognized as the 2018 Dave Campbell Texas Football Coach of the Year.
Prior to arriving in San Saba, Fikac spent time in Weatherford and Wimberley. In Wimberley, he helped lead the team to two 4A State championships as an assistant coach in 2005 and 2011.
“Fikac comes to Georgetown with an impressive record,” said Superintendent Fred Brent. “More importantly, however, he understands the values of the community and the vision of our board. East View’s program should thrive under his leadership. We’re excited for him to join the team.”
