District Seeks Feedback from Parents and Staff via Annual Survey - Closes tomorrow
Annual climate survey information, including links to participate, were emailed to parents and staff on Tuesday, May 10. We encourage every parent and staff member in GISD to respond and share your experience in GISD during the last school year. Information is collected anonymously and used to inform our work including campus improvement plans and pathway development.
Surveys will remain open through tomorrow, May 26, 2023.
Your Feedback Requested - Federal Grant Funding
As a public education institution, Georgetown ISD is eligible for federal funding in a number of areas. In preparation for next school year, we’re asking for your feedback to inform how we use these funds related to the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the Special Education (IDEA-B), and the Perkins V: Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century (CTE). An online survey will remain open through June 6, and we invite you to share your thoughts on any or all of the components included.

GISD Goes Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness
GISD will "Go Gold" this September to raise awareness about childhood cancer and support families in our community who are facing this life-changing diagnosis during National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
You'll hear more about two big events during football season this fall:
EVHS will "Go Gold" on Sept 1 and GHS will "Go Gold" on Sept. 8 during home football games. In addition to supporting a good cause, it's an incredible effort to unite our community: One Town. One District, One Cause: Gold.
For now, one way to get involved is to join the movement and purchase a t-shirt. Details are available here: https://georgetowngoesgold.itemorder.com/shop/sale/. And while September seems like a long way off, there is a t-shirt order deadline in August, photo shoots being planned and more!
Summer learning, summer meals and summer camps
