Meeting Notes

Dr. Brent and Tippit principals Alfonso Longoria opened the meeting at 6:03 pm.

Following a recap of Meeting #2, Dr. Brent shared an overview of construction timelines and pre-approved project designs.

Committee members then split into four groups to have smaller discussions and ask questions about the following project areas:
Growth & Capacity (new buildings, land purchases)

Aging & Evolving (deferred maintenance needs like HVAC, roofing, renovations) + Transportation

Safety & Security (data center, network infrastructure, security cameras) + Technology

Fine Arts (performing arts renovation) + Athletics (swim center options)

During each round table exercise, committee members were asked to provide feedback on their level of support for each project and ask questions. These questions will be answered and shared at the following meeting on April 22. 

Mr. Longoria closed the evening with tours of the facility, which went through an extensive renovation funded through the 2015 bond. 

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 22 at East View High School.
