Play It Safe K-8 Program - Education Presentation for Middle School Parents on Sept. 26
As a result Senate Bill 9 (SB 9) which was passed in 2021 during the 87th Legislature Second Session, school districts are required to provide students with the opportunity to receive instruction on the topic of Child Abuse and Family Violence. With advice from the Georgetown ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), the GISD school board has approved the Play it Safe curriculum for student instruction on this topic. GISD is partnering with the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center (WCCAC) to provide this instruction in elementary and middle school classrooms, grades K- 8.
Please join us for a caregiver presentation to learn about the student safety program and preview the material that will be provided to your elementary and/or middle school student this year:

From Our Partners:
From the GISD Education Foundation: Tickets are Now on Sale for 50 Fellas Food Fest - Oct. 14
50 Fellas Food Fest brings together local foodies and home chefs to raise money for the Georgetown ISD Education Foundation (GEF). Chef cook teams enter their culinary creations in one of 3 categories: appetizers, entrees or desserts, and guests can sample each and vote on their favorite. While the "winners" in each category go home with bragging rights, the real winners are the students and teachers in the district.
This is the premier fundraiser for GEF and all proceeds support the foundation's mission to engage the community in financial support of a learning environment where innovation, customized academic opportunities, and individual success are attainable for all GISD students.
Visit our website to register a cook team, sponsor the event or buy a ticket!
