Share Feedback on Proposed Bell Schedules for 2024–2025

Georgetown ISD is exploring a new bell schedule for the 2024-25 school year that helps address the demands of a growing district.  Two options are being considered and we invite you to share feedback.

Take this quick two-question survey.

Learn more about what’s proposed in the 2024 GISD Bond

GISD Annual Student Survey

In an effort to better support our students as they develop their Learner Profile traits, GISD conducts an annual survey for students in grades 3 - 11. This brief survey asks students to reflect on themselves and their experiences which align to our GISD Learner Profile. Parents may preview the survey questions and choose to opt their student out of taking the survey if they prefer to do so.

The GISD Feedback and Assessment site contains both the questions and opt-out link. Parents who choose to opt their student out of the survey must do so before March 27 as campuses will begin administering the survey to students during the month of April.

Join us for a Parent Learning Community Fair on April 6

GISD Special and Federal Programs will host their last Parent Learning Community Fair on Saturday, April 15 from 10am-noon. This event is open to all parents. It’s FREE and fun for the whole family!

Games, activities, and entertainment will be provided at the fair while families can get information from multiple community organizations. Connect with medical and mental health agencies, hear about supports available to students with disabilities transitioning from school to work/life, learn about summer programs available in our community, and more!

See this flyer for more info.

Solar Eclipse on April 8

On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be visible in North America for the first time since 2017. The eclipse can be seen in Williamson County between 12:18 p.m. to 2:58 p.m. with maximum totality at 1:37 p.m.  The next solar eclipse will not be visible in the contiguous U.S. until 2044 according to NASA.

Georgetown ISD will operate on a normal schedule on April 8 with learning activities planned for all students and staff. Activities vary by campus. Look for more information from your child's campus.

Visit www.georgetownisd.org/solareclipse for more information.
