Chuck Griffin Named Head Football Coach for Georgetown High School's Eagle Football Team
Georgetown ISD announced today that Chuck Griffin was selected as head football coach to lead the Georgetown High School Eagle football team this fall.
Griffin returns to Georgetown following two years in Abilene ISD where he served as Assistant Athletic Director.
“We are excited to have Chuck back in Georgetown,” said Superintendent Fred Brent. “His leadership under Jason Dean contributed to the stability and success of that program.”
During Griffin’s tenure in Georgetown, he helped end a nine-year playoff-off drought by leading teams to seven playoff games and a regional semi-finalist victory. In 2016, he was selected as FCA All-Star Coach and coordinated the offense for the North team.
“His leadership qualities and knowledge of our district and this program make Chuck the right fit to move this program forward,” said Brent.
