Three Ways to Say “Thank You” During Teacher Appreciation Week

As the end of the school year approaches, Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7) is the perfect time to say “thank you” to the Georgetown ISD teacher in your life. Here are three easy ways to show your appreciation to teachers this week:

  1. Record a Short Video
Use your smartphone or another device to record a quick video (15-20 seconds) shoutout to your favorite teacher. Upload your video here for a chance to have it featured on the GISD social media channels during Teacher Appreciation Week!
*Video deadline for a chance to be featured is Wednesday, May 5 at 8 a.m.

  2. Send a Way to Go Gram
It’s easy! Simply fill out the form at georgetownisd.org/waytogo, and we’ll print and deliver your special note to your favorite teacher(s).

  3. Nominate Your Teacher for an H-E-B Excellence Award
H-E-B will be giving away $100,000 in cash prizes to randomly selected educators throughout Texas during a Virtual Tribute to Texas Teachers. Click here to learn more. Submissions are due Tuesday, May 4 at 11:59 p.m.

GISD teachers have weathered a challenging year, and we are especially thankful for all they have done to support students as the landscape of education evolved over the course of the pandemic. Thank you for helping #ThankATeacher in GISD!
