AP Art Exhibit Debuts Friday at City Hall
The next art exhibition at the Georgetown City Hall Gallery will be artwork by Georgetown Independent School District AP Art students. The artwork will be exhibited from January 10 through March with an opening reception on Friday, January 10 from 5-6 pm at City Hall.
School Board Appreciation Month
January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we invite you to help us thank the trustees who volunteer their time, energy and talents to help guide the vision of Georgetown ISD. #schoolboardmonth
Martin Luther King Day - January 20
Please note that Georgetown ISD will be closed in honor of MLK Day on January 20. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 21.
East View FFA Alumni Pet Vaccination Clinic - Jan 20
East View HS FFA Alumni will be hosting a pet vaccination clinic at EVHS on January 20 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Proceeds from the clinic will benefit the EVHS FFA. Vaccines range in price from $5 to $20. For more information please contact Lana Tarlton (512)238-1093.
EVHS Theater to present Bonnie & Clyde The Musical - Jan 30-Feb 1
East View HS Theater program will present Bonnie & Clyde, The Musical, January 30 through February 1 at the EV Theater, nightly at 7 pm. Purchase tickets online in advance on the EVHS Theater Website or at the door. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and teachers.
Secondary G/T Assessment Referral Window - Deadline Jan 31
The window for students in grades 6-11 to be referred for Gifted and Talented testing is now open and will close on January 31 at 3:00 pm. This is for students who are not currently identified as Gifted and Talented. To learn more, visit the Advanced Academics section on our website.

Mental Health Expo - Jan 16
Williamson County Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3’s will be having their first Mental Health Expo on Thursday, January 16, 2020. The event will take place from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at 100 Wilco Way, Georgetown, TX 78626. Residents of all ages are encouraged to join this FREE “one stop shop” for resources & programs pertaining to mental health & wellness.
PWOW Scholarship Opportunities - deadline Feb 1
The Professional Women of Williamson County is offering teachers, counselors, administrators, and staff scholarship opportunities. Visit the Professional Women of Williamson County website to learn about three different scholarship opportunities. The deadline to receive all applications is February 1, 2020.
