From Our Community Partners:
From The Georgetown Chamber: Coronavirus Emergency Loan Information for Small Businesses
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act allocated $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed amid the pandemic and economic downturn. Known as the Paycheck Protection Program, the initiative provides 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses that maintain their payroll during this emergency.

From the Georgetown Complete Count Committee: 2020 Census
Now is the perfect time to fill out your Census questionnaire! This information from the U.S. Census Bureau can be completed in the following formats: survey online, by phone, or by mail. The 2020 Census marks the first time you will have the option to respond online. Everyone living in the U.S. is required by law to be counted in the 2020 Census.
You will be asked a few simple questions, like age, gender, and the number of people who live in your home, including children. Your personal information is confidential and cannot be shared with anyone, including any government agencies or law enforcement. The Census will never ask you for your social security number, money or donations, or credit card numbers.
Census data are used to adjust electoral districts and shape how federal money is spent for roads, school lunch programs, health clinics, student loans, housing, and fire departments.
Information related to the Census is being distributed in elementary school take-home folders and is being made available at secondary campuses for pickup.

From Dr. Brent: #TeamGISD
We planted red poppies earlier in the year. Many are blooming. The new seeds of learning and ways of working, being planted by this team, will bloom as well. They will also expand over time. Georgetown and GISD will be stronger on the other side. #Holdingontohope
