  • Dr. Brent shared a review of the board workshop, which included a summative review of board goals and data tracking on goals.

Board approval of CFO New Hire

  • The GISD Board approved the hire of Jennifer Hanna as Chief Financial Officer. 

    • Hanna will begin her new role on October 17. 

Board approval of Employee COVID Leave for 2022-2023 

  • The resolution enables the Superintendent to make decisions in the best interest of the district to provide limited additional paid leave for employees who test positive for COVID during the 22-23 school year. 

  • The proposed leave would be for one-time use per employee who tests positive for COVID.
