The Georgetown Family YMCA provides the community with programs and events that focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Between child-care, youth sports, and senior programs, there is something for all ages at the Y.

How do they help GISD students?

Every day, the Y welcomes over 300 friends to Y Before and Afterschool, Yoga for GISD Bridges Students, Y on the Fly Afterschool Adventures, Y on the Fly Afterschool Sports, indoor summer camps, YMCA Camp Brightwell, and nightly sports programs across the community. The Y also provides programs through grants for GISD middle schoolers - like the STEAM Power Program that Benold Middle School experienced before COVID.

"The Y works every day to provide programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Over the past year, the YMCA has awarded over $75,000 financial assistance to our community participants. We believe in access for all, regardless of ability to pay." -Cathleen Phelps, Extension Director at Georgetown Family YMCA
