Enhancing educational experiences through engagement and shared expertise.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering on campuses in Georgetown ISD. Through volunteering at one of our schools, you will help enhance educational experiences for our students, enjoy our engaging campus communities, and have meaningful interactions with students and staff during fun events and programs.
Please note that volunteer opportunities are separate from our mentor opportunities. For information about our mentor program, please visit this web page.
We have a list of programs available to volunteers to participate. We have many opportunities for you to volunteer in our schools. The list below is an example. Please select the campuses and programs of interest to you when creating your online profile. You can update your preferences at any time using your secure login.
All adults who wish to volunteer on GISD campuses must first create a profile in our MVPS system* and complete a criminal background check. If you receive your background check approval email, you do not need to complete the Mentor Agreement or the Mentor Application Details.
*Our MVPS system manages all information regarding mentors, volunteers, partners, and supporters, including background checks, partnership approvals, volunteer information, and more. For step-by-step instructions on how to register as a new volunteer in the MVPS system, check out our how-to instruction guide.
The MVPS system will send emails to you based on the email address you provided when you signed up as a mentor/volunteer/partner in our system. Please be sure to check your spam folder and make sure delivery from the domain from which the email was sent (ezcommunicator.com) is not being blocked. If you still are not receiving emails, and you think there might be an error in your email address, please log in and check the spelling in your profile. We have been experiencing bounced emails from att.net, sbcglobal.net accounts - so please try to use another email domain. If you're still having trouble, please reach out to us at connect@georgetownisd.org or call us at 512-943-1890.
